Its the e- Age ...

Starting from the e-mails ,to e-shopping to e-education ,to e-Naukri..hasn't spared anything you could possibly imagine.
And one such is the e-Shaadi..
Gone are those days when the search for a prospective bahu used to be initiated by a spread of word by mama-mami's, chacha-chachi's and many other remotely located and never seen uncles and aunties ...

Well, gone are those days ...and e-Age has changed it all ..
Well donno whether for good or bad ..and anyways who am I to give my verdict ! Well I am non other than a victim ..Yes .. victim of this e- Shaadi.

Being a mother of a software engineer my Mom could have looked out for no other means for searching a prospective Bahu ..than our very own search Engine .... Google!

Yes friends log on to Google..type in Shaadi and there you go ..http://www.Shaadi.com , http://www.BharatMatrimony.com ..and a huge list proliferates your screen .What else ..just click on one of them..create your profile ..kinda resume' and there you go ...

With a home page with a lovely dame asking "Kya tum mujhse Shaadi karoge?" to whom only an Idiot would reject....raises your hopes to a rocketing height.and so it happened with me .

Typically like the Advanced search option of Google ,fill in the attributes for your search and enter a webpage with the search results ..

With an over billion population I assure you that your search would never result in this :

"Your search did not match any documents. Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
Try different keywords.
Try more general keywords. "

Thumbnails of dames who dont look even closely as beautiful as the Shaadi.com models ..shall firstly bring you to heart shattering reality :-)

And even more humorous though interesting :-) is to read their profiles !

What on earth made them write all that ...and you have to read it to believe it ! ..Trust Me !

Browsed through the entire website...and each time a click on "Next " made the whole process seemingly more and more hopeless !

Well felt like suing these Shaadi website people for luring me to get to their websites...for wasting my time ..for wasting my money and ....HURTING my feelings :-((

But as a wise man wisely said "Where there is life there is hope” ..so my search continues ... .

Life in LnT

small excerpt of my experience in lnt :

Still can remember the very first day we guys met as 20 disparate / desperate people...full of enthusiasm to learn ,to explore & to enjoy . Then the transformation from college to the so called sophisticated corporate life ,held at MDC ..how could i forget the 2 lovely days we spent with lovely Ms.Bhodkar(hope i got her surname right) ;-) The toothpaste prank we played on shrikant...man i guess he's still searching for the culprit . What could be better to end this than the bashing we got from Trupti . Seriously guys ..i miss the months training we had here ...with Hemant letting out the job offers he got ,on top of his voice ..lil did he know that "deewaro ke bhi kaan hote hai" .Idi and me ..the ever last benchers who always looked lost especially after Anant Joshi's lectures. Well what cud be the better way to end this than a speech from Idi ,at the valedictory function .Man !! with that speech on best fruits in market ..blah blah u really made us feel to be turned into a fruit salad ...to be served to the greedy wolves (our PMs) always looking out for resources.

Well finally few landed in cellon ,.some in Openwave ,Ferma, BTS and the lucky few in inTango ;-) Wota experience inTango was..Still remember the first day inTango when i was called for a meeting with Chandru and Abhishek..who assigned me the SDI module ..after which i rushed to the library to get the full form of it :-) .The happiest amongst us was idi ..for the lucky #%#^ got to work wid Miss.Nand.. who very soon turned to Mrs.Nand ..shattering poor idi. Working was fun with Chandru ,who used to get his huge list of requirement sheets every monday morning and ofcourse Abhishek whose Indore+English accent used to drive me crazy.. And to top it all was the incrementing list of ice creams demanded by Swapna for solving my silliest doubts..the count that reached 64 by the end of inTango made me sweat :-) .At the end we guys at inTango had turned shameless & sadist ...happy to see ppl getting rebuked by a BCom pass out who called himself our PM ;-).

Then were the days i experienced the well known "on bench" experience that every s/w professional goes through in his initial days and gets used to it till he becomes a PM :-)))Pestered Se(maa) to get into a client project ..and finally landed up in Cellon...where the concept of ip messanger does not exits.People considered cellon as their family and some even start building one :-))

Well the most i njoyed in lnt was being with u guys who were always there for me when i needed them the most...be it tea or lunch time:-))) .(have to say all this since its my last day here :-)) )

On a serious note ..i really think that without you all it would have been much difficult to be in lnt. Really thankful for your help , guidance and the invaluable friendship .Hope our friendship would last forever…wherever we land up( gurgoan , delhi(B’lore )).Thanx again for everything …and I would always be there for you guys whenever you would need me…infact even If you don’t :-).

Hope that all u guys get the best in life ....and dare not forget me ..will miss u all a lot though i am sounding as if I have got a job on mars..but i guess we all know that very soon life is going to be quite different :-(.
